Temu Support Guide

Independent guide. This page is written by an independent service. We are not Temu and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorized by Temu. Only Temu can change an order, issue a refund or access your account.

This guide explains how to work through the most common problems with a Temu order: where your package is, a wrong or damaged item, a return or refund, and a charge you do not recognize. The steps use Temu’s own channels. Menu names in the app change from time to time, so look for the closest match if a label differs.

Before you start

Having these ready makes every step quicker:

  • The order number and the date you placed the order.
  • The email address or phone number on your Temu account.
  • Photos or a short video of the problem, such as a damaged item, a wrong item or the packaging label.
  • A screenshot of the order status and of any message from Temu.
  • The payment method you used and the amount charged.

Find out where your order is

  1. Open the Temu app, or sign in on the Temu website.
  2. Go to your orders list from your account area.
  3. Open the order and check the status and the tracking details.
  4. Compare the status with the delivery estimate shown when you ordered. Orders can ship in more than one package, so one part may arrive earlier than another.

If the estimate has passed and the tracking has not changed for several days, use Temu’s customer service in the app and give the order number. If tracking shows delivered but you have nothing, check with neighbors and around your property first, then report it to Temu with that detail.

Wrong, missing or damaged items

  1. Take clear photos of the item, the packaging and the shipping label before you throw anything away.
  2. Open the order in your orders list and look for a way to report a problem, request a return or request help with the order.
  3. Choose the reason that best matches what happened and attach your photos.
  4. Keep the confirmation message or screenshot after you submit.

Returns and refunds

Whether an item can be returned, how long you have, and who pays for return shipping depend on the item and on the country you order from. Read the return and refund policy that Temu publishes for your region before you start, and check the order page, which usually shows what applies to that purchase.

  1. Open the order in your orders list.
  2. Select the option to return an item or request a refund, if it is shown. If the option is not shown, the order may be outside the return window or the item may not be eligible, so contact customer service in the app and ask.
  3. Follow the prompts, choose the reason and add photos if asked.
  4. Keep any return label, drop-off receipt and tracking number until the refund is complete.

Refund timing depends on Temu’s processing and then on your bank or card issuer. If the refund is approved but you do not see it, give it the processing time shown in your order details, then contact Temu with your order number and the refund confirmation.

Keep everything in writing. Use the in-app chat or the official contact form where you can, and save screenshots. A written record helps if you need to escalate later.

Payment and charge problems

  • A charge you do not recognize. Check your Temu order history first. Orders placed by someone else in your household, or by a saved payment method, are a common cause.
  • A pending charge after a cancelled or failed order. Some banks show a temporary hold that drops off by itself. Your bank can tell you how long that normally takes.
  • A double charge. Compare the amounts and dates with your order list, then report both to Temu with screenshots of your statement.
  • A charge you did not authorize. Contact your bank or card issuer straight away, and change your Temu password.

Account and sign-in problems

  1. Use the account recovery or “forgot password” option on the Temu sign-in screen.
  2. Check your spam folder for the verification message.
  3. If you cannot get in, use the help or customer service option on the official site or app and describe the problem.

Turn on any extra sign-in protection that Temu offers, and use a password you do not use anywhere else.

If the problem is not fixed

  1. Ask again in writing. Reply in the same chat or ticket with the order number, what you have already tried and the outcome you want, such as a refund of a stated amount.
  2. Contact your card issuer or payment provider. If you paid for something you did not receive, or were charged wrongly, ask how to dispute the charge. Issuers set their own deadlines, so do not wait.
  3. Report it to a consumer agency. In the United States you can report to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov and to your state attorney general. Other countries have their own consumer protection bodies.

Avoiding support scams

  • Search results and ads can show phone numbers and pages that look official but are not. Reach Temu through the app, or by typing the web address yourself: temu.com.
  • Do not give anyone a password, a one-time code, or your full card number, including people who say they are from Temu or from a support service.
  • Be cautious with anyone who asks you to pay with gift cards, wire transfers or cryptocurrency, to install remote-access software, or to “verify” your bank account.
  • If you shared something you should not have, contact your bank at once and change your passwords.

Questions

Is this page from Temu?

No. It is an independent guide. Temu has no involvement in it.

Can the people who wrote this guide refund my order?

No. Only Temu can refund an order or change your account. This guide explains how to ask Temu and what to do if the first attempt does not work.

Where do I find Temu’s own return and refund policy?

On Temu’s official site and in the app, in the help or policy section for your country. Because the rules differ by region, use the version for the country you ordered from.
